As you may know I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer just over a year ago and tests then indicated I had an advanced tumour.  I made the decision to have my Prostate removed which thankfully seems to have cured me of cancer. 

Unfortunately I didn't have a particularly straightforward operation and ended up in intensive care at Southmead Hospital with a serious leak into my pelvic region!  Thanks to the care and attention of the doctors and nurses I have made a good recovery and so in celebration of this I am taking part in the Run for Living event to raise funds for further research into Prostate Cancer.  The Bristol Urological Institute is based at Southmead Hospital and does a fantastic job helping victims of Prostate Cancer.
