6 years ago we lost our special friend Linda Webb, please help me to raise funds in her name and to aid the fight against cancer.

Training Update

In finished 64th out of 700 in my first race of the year over 12km at Stratford.

In March I ran in a 20 mile race in Gloucester, where I finished in 200th place with a time of 2:33 and the London Half Marathon at Silverstone.  At Silverstone despite the hail and the wind I achieved a personal best of 1:33 to finish in 385th position.  I can say that I beat Nigel Mansell and 5,500 others around the Grand Prix circuit.   

My training programme is winding down to the race - I am hopeful of achieving a finishing time of 3:30 or better.  Look out for me on the tele I'm number 2814 and will be wearing my Cancer Research vest .

Despite the heat and thanks to the support of the huge crowds I made it over the line in 4:06, not as fast as I was hoping but it was the experience of a lifetime.
