Story

Thank you all for your very generous sponsorship of my swim for The Irene Taylor Trust, Music in Prisons. We have exceeded our target by far and we are very grateful to each and everyone who gave.  We've added some photos taken on the day.  The weather was ideal and the day very well organised.  Thank you for being a part of it and helping to make it such a success.

Music has the power to change lives.  It can reach places that words and reason can’t.  The combination of music and the opportunity to learn and work on projects with others, all sharing a common and creative goal, is a powerful tool for changing behaviour; especially for those trapped by circumstance and bad choices.  Opportunities to change whilst in prison are few, but vital.  The Irene Taylor Trust gives just such opportunities and lives are changed.  Many of you will have already heard music on the radio which has been facilitated by the Trust and by visiting their website you can find out about a performance at a prison near you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
