Story
On 8 June 1989, eleven weeks premature, twins, Nicola and Jenny Mirams were born at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Sadly, on 9 June 1989, Jenny died and Nicola was seriously ill. Nicola spent 3 months in the Neonatal Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary receiving specialist care which enabled her to survive. On 8 June 2010, Nicola is celebrating her 21st birthday and wants to raise £2100 for the Neonatal Unit to contribute towards the building of a new unit to help thousands of premature babies born in Leicestershire.
