In June, Carolyn and I will be joining the Tag Rugby Trust's tour to Uganda! We will be spending two weeks touring one of the world’s poorest regions, helping the Trust to continue their amazing work developing sports communities that children can thrive in.

Now, we know what you’re already thinking… “What?! Nina and Carolyn in a third world country? With no hair straighteners ? No social media?  No large vats of wine?! Have I heard this correctly?!  Do my eyes deceive me?!”  Let’s just say, that this charity means a lot to us and we are excited to be involved and honoured to be ambassadors. And, we’ve done our research… THEY HAVE BEER!*

Our Mission: To enrich the lives of children in the region through team building and investing in the communities with organised sports. We will be working with schools and orphanages to develop life and leadership skills through having an established sports hub. Now, we know no one would ever describe us as "athletic" (believe us, the Trust is about so much more than that), but I'm sure you'll agree that we're both team players, with massive hearts and a dedication to putting smiles on peoples' faces!

Our Weapon: Tag Rugby! For those who aren't a fan of egg chasing, this is a super fun, non-contact game that anyone can pick up. All you need is energy, enthusiasm and a place to play it! Recreational sports grounds and clubs help to break down geographic and social barriers in the region and give kids a chance to develop relationships and enjoy their youths!

Our Goal: To inspire you all to dig deep and support this cause that's so close to our hearts (and obviously send us on a life changing, humbling adventure), so that we can help put your money to good use and build the futures of the children there.   We will be hosting lots of fun events to help us meet our goal and raise the profile of the Trust and the work they do. We also promise to provide hilarity through our heartwarming video blogs leading up to and during our journey (and who doesn't want to see us getting outrun by 8 year olds?!).

We promise to make you all proud, remember, it’s not about Meganda, or Iganda, or even Uganda… it’s about “We”ganda!
