Tour of Britain Stage One 100 Mile Challenge · 13 August 2009

SportsAid is the only national charity of its kind, proudly supporting young British sportsmen and women who aspire to be our next Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth and world champions.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Being a brave lot, the North Yorkshire Sport (NYS) staff team have taken on the challenge of cycling stage 1 of the 2009 Tour of Britain’, to raise funds for SportsAid and GODD Fund (Gastro-Oesophageal Diseases and Disorders)  a newly forming cancer charity to promote awareness and fund research into the diagnosis and treatment of oesophageal cancer.

The NYS team are mostly novice cyclists and will take the 100 mile challenge on  September 19, 2009. This is the final day of the tour which ends in London. The team will have a support vehicle on the day which will be following them with supplies and equipment along the way from Scunthorpe to York.

We're looking for local businesses, colleagues, friends and family to support us and help raise funds for these two fantastic charities, so put your hands in your pockets and get behind us!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SportsAid  and GODD get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
