Story

In October this year, I will be taking on a huge challenge – trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro! As you know, I am not the fittest of people but have already joined a gym, booked some personal training sessions and reviewed my diet so that I can achieve this stretched goal.

I am trying to raise £5000 for a truly inspirational charity called Restless Development.  Furthermore, David Reid, Chairman of Tesco, will top up anything I raise!

Restless Development (www.restlessdevelopment.org) sponsors gap year students either pre or post university to assist young people in  countries in various projects under the auspices of the UN or other prestigious agencies.   The aim is for young people to assist other young people in how to utilise local resources, take charge of their own lives and give life skills in order to improve their communities.   Particular emphasis is placed on teaching, health and the prevention of HIV.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

With your generous support, I know that it will help me persevere with the next few weeks of gruelling exercise and will push me to reach the summit.

Regards,

Olie
