Welcome to my justgiving page, now that you have found it keep on reading and then reach for your credit card and help me raise some money!!  Honestly I will have earnt the sponsorship once you find out what I intend to do to get it.... (and just to reassure you, all of the money that is pledged - that is 100% of it is going to the Charity.  I am paying all my costs out of my own pocket).

So what will I be doing to deserve your money I hear you ask! Well towards the end of March I will be heading out to 'hot' Morocco! 

Why... well because I am taking part in the Marathon Des Sables 2009 (Mds)!  The Mds is an ultramarathon and is regarded as the toughest foot race in the world, run by lunatics and masochists.  I believe that I fall into the first category, my family certainly think that I must be a bit of a 'looney', to want to run 243km (151 Miles) over six days in a 120 F heat across the Sahara desert!  That is the equivalent to 5 and 1/2 'normal' marathons (yes it could be tough)!

Why would I want to do this... well not only is it a once in a lifetime challenge which I am sure that neither I nor my  feet will ever forget, but it is also a chance to raise some money for the much deserved charity 'Help for Heros'.

Please be generous in your donations to this great cause!  Remember that the money is going to help support our wounded servicemen and women injured in the current conflicts.  Please help me to help them.
