Great North Swim 2009 · 12 September 2009 ·

NASS is only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people with axial spondyloarthritis (AS), a painful, progressive rheumatic disease which mainly affects the spine. An estimated 200,000 people live with AS in the UK. Our 90+ branches across the UK offer regular exercise to anyone with AS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing the Great North Swim which is a one mile swim in Lake Windermere on September 12th and I am doing it in aid of The National Ankylosing Society Charity.

I have had AS since I was 18 and the charity is involved in the latest research into new treatments and drugs and has 100 bases throughout Britain to support people.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks,

Orla
