There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Hospital Development Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

The Coast to Coast route from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire was originally made famous by Alfred Wainwright in his book 'A Coast to Coast Walk', in which he describes his 190 mile walk through 3 National Parks, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.

Our challenge follows Wainwright's route closely and covers 210 miles and will take 5 days to complete.  Each day involves many climbs, the largest being towards 2000 feet.
