Thank you for visiting my page, I'm in training for the London Marathon in April 2015.

As this will be a real challenge, I'm grasping the opportunity to raise some much needed money for Focus Birmingham a leading charity in their field in my hometown.

This will be the longest distance I've ever run, having only previously done half marathons. Any donations will provide a much needed boost to motivate me on my long training runs during the winter months. I only hope that the current predictions about the coldest winter in 100 years are wrong!

Focus Birmingham supports visually impaired and disabled people, together with their carers, to live fulfilling and independent lives by providing services that reflect their wants and needs. The charity's day services teams work with adults from the age of 19 to deliver stimulating programmes of activities which are tailored to the needs of the individual. It specialises in working with people with visual impairment and other complex needs and providing appropriate support so that each person can achieve their full potential.

Focus Birmingham currently delivers residential care and support services from locations in Kings Norton (Selly Oak Road) and Erdington (Beech House). The service provides 24-hour care and support to adults who have a visual impairment, learning and physical disabilities and other associated complex needs.
Focus Birmingham's low vision centre provides a comprehensive range of services enabling people to use their vision to the greatest potential when facing sight loss.
