Story

I hope all who read this are safe and well in these most difficult of days.

As you know I fundraise for Scottish Huntington's every year by doing a sponsored walk.  In spite of the difficulties, I and  a few close friends will do it again this year.  On 12 September we will walk along the Clyde at Erskine from the small car park opposite the swimming pool towards the Erskine Bridge and back.  The distance will be 3 to 5 miles. This year we will observe the social distancing rules.

This organisation does so much to provide support to families like mine affected by Huntington's disease (HD).  HD is like having motor neuron disease, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's all at the same time.  It effectively reverses all the mental and emotional growth of an individual and reduces them to an adult sized baby.  Over a period of perhaps 25 years.  And all children of an individual with HD have a 50% chance of inheriting the gene that causes the condition.  It is therefore a family condition.  Please support me in my attempt to raise funds to allow Scottish Huntington's to continue to support us.
