In August Oxfam Macclesfield organised 2 sponsored walks setting out from Macclesfield Town Football ground at 9am and arriving in Leek several hours later.

The staff and volunteers of Oxfam shop in Macclesfield joined with members of the public hoping to raise £1700 to fund the building of a classroom.

We are very pleased to be able to announce that we reached (and exceeded) that target! We are still accepting donations, anything raised above the target amount will help to fund school books, or teacher training.

We are hoping that this will become an annual event and we are inviting supporters and local businesses to get involved in 2010.
