At times of overseas emergency, the DEC brings together a unique alliance of the UK's aid, corporate, public and broadcasting sectors to rally the nation's compassion, and ensure that funds raised go to DEC agencies best placed to deliver effective and timely relief to people most in need.

Story

The event was held last Saturday 23rd November. You can still however suppport us by donating through this page. From the dinner and donations online, we have already raised more than £6500.

The Oxford Philippines Society is raising money to aid the relief efforts in the Philippines.

Typhoon Haiyan, the strongest storm ever recorded to hit land, caused severe devastation in the Philippines. With thousands feared dead, hundreds of thousands displaced, and millions affected, many are in desperate need of help.

With the help of Oriel College, University of Oxford, we will be holding a formal dinner on the 23rd of November, Saturday.

Venue: Oriel College Dining Hall

Time: 7:30, pre- drinks start at 7 pm at Champneys Room, Oriel College

Menu:

Potted Salmon & Prawns with Herbs & Melba Toast

V Velouté of Leek with Smoked Cheddar Cheese

 

Breast of Chicken, Crushed Sprouts, Glazed Carrots & Fondant Potato

V Sweet Potato & Spiced Lentil Galette with Wasabi

 

Panna Cotta with Exotic Fruits in Chilli Syrup

Pre drinks with cellist from Oxford University Philharmonia playing Cello Suites (Bach).
