Story
After 21 amazing years, our legendary music teacher Anne Taylor is handing on her baton (and her Ukulele, and Samba whistle…) and leaving Mayfield Primary!
She’s been a huge part of the school, teaching everything from one-to-one instrumental lessons and class music, to Choirs, Orchestra, Folk Band, Ukulele groups and Samba Band, kickstarting a love of music in many students over those years.
To celebrate the work she's done for Mayfield, we’re raising funds for something close to her heart: helping music continue to thrive here for future students. She’d love to leave a lasting contribution that supports music across the school for years to come.
In Anne's words:
It’s been an absolute joy to be part of the Mayfield community for the past 21 years. I’ve loved watching so many children (as well as parents) discover the fun, creativity and confidence that music can bring. It’s been a privilege to share in those moments, from the first notes to full-blown performances! I’m proud of what we’ve built together, and I’m excited to see music continue to thrive at the school in the years ahead.
If you’d like to thank Anne, help celebrate all she’s done for music at Mayfield, and support joyful music-making in the future - please donate!
Thank you - and here’s to many more musical Mayfield moments to come, and to further musical adventures for 'Mrs Taylor' too 🙂
