We are Finn and Ben and on 4th July 2026 we will be undertaking a 50km Ultra Challenge in the Peak District. It’s going to be tough with some big hills and challenging terrain. We are doing this to raise money for Reverse Rett because Lottie (Finn’s sister) has Rett Syndrome which is a devastating genetic condition that mainly affects girls. The minimum age to enter is 16 so Finn (16) will be one of the youngest people in the Ultra 💪🏻

Finn says: ‘…I can’t wait to tackle this 50k Ultra. My Dad has already done two Ultras and I’m so excited to be doing it with him. It’s going to be hard but I’m doing it raise money to help make my sister’s life better…’.

Lottie is a superstar and brings joy and happiness to our family. Her smile and laugh are infectious, and she has people wrapped around her little finger through her wonderful sense of humour. Lottie is also one of the bravest people we know. Living with a disability is tough, but she just gets on with it. She would be doing this Ultra challenge herself if she could.

As a family, we have been raising money for Reverse Rett for over a decade. When we started, the outlook for children like Lottie was bleak. However, the landscape now looks completely different with two clinical trials of gene therapies underway thanks to Reverse Rett and others. The possibility of disease-modifying treatments for Rett Syndrome has become real. This is a pivotal moment and we must maintain momentum - but Reverse Rett need support to continue their brilliant work in accelerating these treatments.
