Story
For the past 17 years we have held an annual Big Push where parents come together to walk or run for a charity that feels important to us as parents. It's also a morning of connection, to meet other mums, chat, support and share stories.
Over the years we have raised more than £50,000 for charities supporting families locally here in Manchester, the UK or further afield.
This year we're thinking about the families in Gaza. The destruction of their homes, schools and hospitals as well as the catastrophic loss of life which cannot be ignored.
The annual BIG PUSH & PICNIC takes place every year at Chorlton Water Park where we walk together (you can of course run if you like!) 3 laps of the lake.
The Big Push is about us coming together pushing our prams as radical support for our charity ... collectively we can raise awareness of the Gaza Crisis Appeal, donate to help the families in Gaza but also appreciate the friendships we make and the community we have here at For Baby and Me.
Look out for more information on our social media and SAVE THE DATE because we'd love to see you there!

The ongoing conflict and situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Famine is looming, clean water is scarce, and the healthcare system has all but collapsed. Most people have fled from their homes, but there is nowhere safe left to go. We are witnessing unacceptable and relentless human suffering. Aid alone will not solve this crisis, but it will save lives. People urgently need clean water, food, and medical care. Red Cross and Red Crescent teams have already helped over half the population, working tirelessly to alleviate suffering wherever they can.
Please note:
The Gaza Crisis Appeal will support people in areas affected and those potentially affected in the future by this crisis. Gift Aid claimed on donations received in response to this appeal will be used to fund the whole of our work. In the event there are surplus funds raised for this appeal these will be used for the general charitable purposes of the British Red Cross.
