There are more than 100,000 strokes in the UK each year; that is around one stroke every five minutes. The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) at RVI are continually developing their service to provide the best treatment and high standards of care for all stroke patients. The ridging Stroke Charity, which is part of the Newcastle Hospitals Charity, aims to raise crucial funds to support and enhance the exceptional care provided to stroke patients.

Following the success of last year's successful pub quiz and raffle, the HASU team along with family and friends will be putting their knowledge to the test again on 10th September to determine who has what it takes to be crowned this year's Bridging Stroke Pub Quiz champions.

Alongside the quiz, we will also be holding a raffle with prizes donated by some amazing local businesses, with all proceeds going towards our fantastic charity.
