Story
Blairs College Chapel is one of Scotland’s most powerful heritage places. Once a centre of Catholic tradition, learning and reflection, it has stood for generations as a place of meaning and memory. Today it is still beautiful and significant, but fragile, and in urgent need of care.
This is not just about saving stone and structure. It is about restoring a piece of Scotland’s story and giving it back to the people. Our vision is for the chapel to become open and shared again—a space for community life, cultural events, celebrations, quiet reflection, and visitors from all walks of life.
Before any of that can happen, we must understand what it will take to save it properly.
We are raising funds towards a £40,000 Professional Viability Assessment. This essential work will assess the condition of the chapel, define what needs to be done, and create a clear, costed plan for its restoration. It is also vital match funding to unlock grants and bring the project to life.
