Story
Well my running journey continues…
I’m absolutely delighted to be running the London Marathon in April 2024 after a 5 year hiatus- and for a very important charity to me personally. I owe so much to the Royal Cornwall Hospital: I was born there in 1987, they saved my life after contracting pneumonia in 1992 and my daughter Georgia was born in the maternity ward in May last year. My wife Kirsten also works at the hospital as a Chaplain, supporting patients, families and staff. It’s fair to say that we’ve got a lot to be thankful for and that’s down to the wonderful staff at the hospital.
The Royal Cornwall Hospital Charity states that ‘We are passionate about supporting the creation of a brilliant patient experience for everyone across the Trust at Royal Cornwall Hospital. Thanks to kind and generous supporters like you, we are able to fund equipment, facilities or additional training with our patients at the heart of everything that we do’.
All donations will make a big difference to our county’s main hospital. I’m planning a big charity do in the Spring, so watch this space!
Thank you for your generosity- it is greatly appreciated! I promise to train really hard and give it my all over the next 5 months!
