Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I used Ayrshire Cancer Support myself for three weeks in February this year for transport to my radiotherapy sessions up at the Beatson, Glasgow. This was a huge help to me and my family as all my relatives were back to work after months of hospital visits back and forth to Glasgow Royal Hospital after my surgeries. I am not a confident driver in Glasgow and i'm glad I didn't drive as I was pretty tired. The drivers from this charity are all volunteers and could not have been nicer and some even full of banter! The charity has also offered counselling and complimentary therapies which is both very helpful and a great benefit to mental health to people during and after cancer treatment. I would like to give back to this wonderful charity as they made my final treatment stage feel so easy. I am walking 50 miles throughout the month of May which might not seem a lot to some but my body is still in recovery from chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy therefor this for me is a challenge but one I am more than happy to do. I will be doing other things in amongst my walking to help me raise funds, these will be posted on my facebook page.Thank you for supporting me and my chosen charity.
