Story
Support Dogs is a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults living with some of the most challenging medical conditions. We train specialist assistance dogs that allow our clients to live a more independent and socially inclusive life. We currently have three different programmes for which our support dogs are trained: autism assistance, physical disability assistance, and epilepsy seizure alert.
Julie and I have been volunteer puppy socialisers with Support Dogs for nearly six years and I have been meaning to do this activity for a while but injuries and surgery have prevented me from doing it. Our first pup was Jai Jayy. He is now an autism assistance dog and has transformed the lives of Jacob and his family.
So I am going to have a go this year and it would be brilliant if you could help me raise as much as I can for this amazing charity. We have the lovely Doris with us at the moment, she will be starting her training as a Seizure Alert dog in April
