We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer
Story
Pam and Sophie are running the Edinburgh Marathon on 23rd May. For both of us it will be our first (and maybe last) marathon, and it hasn’t been easy!
Considering that we’ve had the worst winter since the beginning of time, perhaps this year wasn’t the best to choose to spend our free time pounding the icy streets of and . Nonetheless, come wind, rain or shine (or in our case: snow, hail or ice), despite injuries and strong wine cravings, we’ve managed to get out there and run.
Hopefully though, it will all be worth it as we have decided to run in aid of Bowel Cancer . Bowel cancer is the second most common cancer in women and the third in men, yet it has far less awareness than some other forms of cancers. Both Pam and I have known people who have battled with this disease and so we have chosen this charity for them and the 36,500 other sufferers in the .
So if you can spare a few pennies for this great cause then please sponsor us, and help us stay focused as the runs get longer and more painful!
Thank you!!
Sophie and Pamela xx
