PLEASE HELP ME TO HELP OTHER WOUNDED SOLDIERS!
On 12th September 2006, I was wounded in a landmine explosion whilst serving with 7 Para RHA in Afghanistan. I suffered a total of over 40 injuries including the loss of both of my legs, multiple fractures to my left arm, brain and spinal damage. I spent almost 4 months in a coma.
With the support of my family and friends I am making a remarkable recovery. I am learning to walk again with prostethic legs and now I am determined to do as much as I can to help others who have been wounded whilst serving in the UK armed forces.
In 2008, I was asked to become Patron of the military charity PROJECT 65 - The Veterans Charity. This great organisation raises vital funds for the care and support of wounded military personnel and families who have suffered bereavement. PROJECT 65 - The Veterans Charity is very important to me because it does not just focus on today's wounded soldiers but ALL wounded soldiers who need care and support.
I am aiming to raise as much money as I can for PROJECT 65 - The Veterans Charity to help the thousands of others who need the help and support that I have been given.
So far I have taken part in the final stage of THE FORCES MARCH 2010 (my first walk in public since being wounded), a canoe race and a tandem parachute jump. In the very near future I will be completing a very special tandem skydive!
PLEASE HELP ME TO HELP OTHERS LIKE ME!
Thank you!!!
