We support people across Scotland to have better mental health and wellbeing.
Story
Carl O'Shea lost his life to suicide in February 2006, months before his 26th Birthday. Since then Carl's family and his girlfriend Heather have raised over £44,000 for SAMH. SAMH provide services for those suffering from mental ill health and also work to promote good mental health for all and remove the stigma associated with these issues.
In order to help the family achieve their current target of £50,000 Trish will be running the Edinburgh Marathon on the 25 May and Heather, Nina and Sharonne will be running the Glasgow Women's 10k on May 18.
Around since 1923, SAMH currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland.
These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, sport and physical activity; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
