We are raising money to fund an additional doctor for the Transplant Team in Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to complete important research to assist children post transplant.
Our son Jack (now 3) had a successful heart transplant at GOSH in 2007 - the operation and post operative period presented incredible and unforseen challenges and without ground breaking research the story would have been very different. He is a bright, beautiful and bouncy boy, who leads a very full and fun filled life, which has to be seen to be believed.
Jack is cared for by the Heart Tranplant Team at GOSH and the Clark Clinic in the Royal in Belfast. The Transplant Team in GOSH and Dr Mike Burch (Jack's consultant at GOSH) are organising a 40 km sponsored walk in June 2009 and we are joining them, alongside some other transplant parents, to raise funds which will assist Jack and countless other gorgeous little children.
