I was lucky enough to receive a place in the London Marathon this year. Although I didn't get my marathon place through a charity, I still wanted to raise money for a charity of my choice. I knew that I wanted to raise money for an environmental project but I couldn't decide who.
One day I was in my local Tesco store and saw a Christmas card recycling box that was raising money for the Woodland Trust. I did a bit of investigation and decided that this was the perfect charity to run for. The Woodland Trust protects, restores and creates woodland.
Since its establishment in 1972, the Woodland Trust has planted over 4.5 million trees and created 3,200 hectares of new native woodland. By sponsoring me and showing your support for the Woodland Trust you will be helping to continue this vital work for the enjoyment of future generations.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me; the Woodland Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Paula.
