The aim is to run the Jersey marathon on 5th October and raise as much for Macmmillan nurses and cancer support as possible.  When my father was suffering from bowel cancer the Macmillan nurses provided a lifeline of gentle, knowledgable support for the family and my Dad.  It was a long time ago but I've never forgetten their humane help at the time we all needed it most.  Unsung heroes they certainly are.  Hopefully I can now re-pay some of the debt our family owe these lovely people.
