Story

Hi everyone,

Many thanks to all those who have donated, not only money but those that where so generous with their time as well.

Thanks go to Daniel at 'We Are Cuts' for doing the chop and letting me take over his premises to do the shoot whilst the deed was being done. Martin Read for shooting it all and being a good bloke and Robert Johnson for taking the stills and for being tall. Thanks also to Tim T and Tim W for letting me use their cameras.

The Video is to follow! Watch this space.

OK, so the the 'after' photo was taken 6 years ago, but you get the idea, just add a couple of pounds.

I've been telling you all for more than 2 years that I'm going to cut my hair and donate it to be made into a wig for a little girl in Sussex, and the time has arrived for action.

Hayley Okines (www.hayleyspage.com) suffers from a very rare problem called Progeria Syndrome, and as a result, this has left brave Hayley with no hair, amongst other things. She is truley an inspiring little girl.

Most of the ladies I know (and some of the men) out there would be mortified if they lost their hair and Hayley is no exception. This is where I come in. The Little Princess Trust (www.littleprincesses.org.uk) is an amazing organization that offers a better quality of life to those people who have been affected by more than just hair loss. They make wigs from hair donations for an amazingly courageous bunch of people.

I am raising money for both Hayley and The Little Princess Trust by cutting off all my hair. I'm aiming high and would love to raise at least £1000 (these wigs are not cheap, they are works of art). Basically the more you give, the shorter I go. A couple of people have voiced an interest in cutting some of my hair themselves for £50 a pop! (You know who you are). So if you want to have a go yourself, go big on your donation.

Daniel at We Are Cuts in Soho has kindly offered his services to do the hack. The scheduled chop is going to happen around 29th April - come and watch/ cut some of my hair yourself/ get your hair cut for charity too (SB?).

News just in, the official date for the chop is going to be THURSDAY 6TH MAY.

I know we are all living in lean times so please give as little or as much as you can - anything. The joy your donation will bring is priceless.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks all of you for putting up with my ranting about doing this and wondering if I'd actually do it. I am.

Now let's get it on!
