Story
The bike ride was fabulous.
Unfortunately Mikayla had to drop out due to medical reasons, but we found Miles and Steve to do it with us.
We started at Cromer Pier at 5am and followed the A249 west bound and turned south through Ringstead. We stopped for lunch at Castle Acre and finished the bike ride at 7pm at Gasthorpe.
We had a lovely day- the weather was on our side. We saw lots of interesting sites including a barn owl who followed us along the coast to Blakeney.
We had several bike issues which resulted in musical cycles and eventually a bike swap. between Jess and Miles. Jess fell of her bicycle and into a hedge on the road section, and then after lunch impaled her knee on a part of the bike which resulted in a big lump on the side of her knee. But we all made it back in one piece.
Wemyss Russell and Fiona Hatch were our support drivers and met us evey 10 miles or so to ensure we were safe, had enough water and provided us with food. We really could not have done it without their support.
Allan and Loreen Horsfall met us at lunch and provided us with Cheesecake and Ice Cream at the end of our ride!

Jenny D'eath was a much loved wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a nurse in the local RAF base and in her retirement volunteered for St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St. Edmunds, for a further 12 years. Jenny was a very kind and caring person and this was recognised both during her working life, and by her family.
In memory of Jenny, and to show their appreciation for the care, dignity and respect shown to Jenny in her final days members of her family have decided to do something very special indeed.
We are going to cycle the Peddars Way!
the Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path comprise 93 miles of ancient road stretching from Cromer, along the coast to Ringstead, then turns south ending in Knettishall. On Saturday 3rd July 2010 Teri, Jessica, Steve and Camilla are planning to do this in 1 day starting at 4am at Cromer.
