The PP Team completed the final Peak on Saturday 19th October by climbing Mount Snowdon. It was a very wet and misty day but we got some good views and completed the climb and descent in 4 hours 53 minutes.

 

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us and donated so far, we can't thank you enough.

 

The Team conquered Ben Nevis and Scafell but due to road diversions and bank Holiday traffic and queues to get onto Snowdon, unfortunately we didn't finish our challenge. However we will be going back on the 19th October to scale Mount Snowdon - so champagne is on ice until then.

Our trip to Fort William and climbs of Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike were absolutely amazing! Descending Ben Nevis was tricky but what a fabulous sunset!

Here at Personnel Placements, we have decided to take part in the National Three Peaks Challenge.

 

We shall be tackling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in just 24hrs over August Bank Holiday Weekend (24th & 25th August 2013).

 

This is going to be a real challenge as none of us have attempted anything like this before, however we have our training plans in place, are breaking in our walking boots and are working on our map reading skills!

 

As a Salisbury based company, we have decided to raise money for the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal. The Stars Appeal have been one of our “nominated charities” for some time now, however we now have even more of a reason to support them as Harry, the son of a member of our team at Personnel Placements, has recently been diagnosed with Epilepsy. This has meant regular trips to the Children’s Ward for him and his whole family, and he will require ongoing support from the hospital.

 

We have put together a team of 7 walkers – Laura, Lynne, Gill, Tina, David, Georgie and Sam, and 2 drivers – Keith and Russ.

 

We will all be piling into a minibus on Friday 23rd August and begin the long journey up to Scotland. We will have a nice relaxing evening, followed be a hearty breakfast, and begin the challenge on Saturday afternoon.

 

We will hike up to the summit of Ben Nevis and back down again, drive to the Lake District, hike up Scafell Pike and back, then drive down to Wales to hike up to the top of Snowdon and down again, to be finished by Sunday afternoon.
