Biking for Bowel Cancer UK at the Etape Caledonia 17th May 2009 - Not too late to donate!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page which will remain live until mid-August 2009.
At the end of 2008, having been given the all clear following surgery and chemotherapy for bowel cancer, I decided to take on the Etape Caledonia 2009 and raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. I have been joined in this effort by 7 mates and am delighted to confirm the training and fundraising has paid off. In spite of difficulties such as recession and carpet tacks on the Etape route, the £5000 fundraising target was reached on May 12th and the race completed on May 17th by all the team with just one puncture. For all the support from the team, big thanks to Colin, Duncan, Harry, Ian, Kenny M, Kenny P and Mike.
I am also indebted to Powerhouse Fitness for providing team jerseys and to Bunn Great Yarmouth, Reid Fertilisers, Mains of Taymouth and Argyle Consulting for their logo donations. Nigel, Ian, Robin and Rob - thanks guys and may your companies trade well!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
On behalf of the team and Bowel Cancer UK, thanks to all donors for your generosity and support
