Sunrise Sunset is back in 2010 - Join me on Sunday, May 2, 2010

Well, we did it. Got up at 4.30am, an hour before the sun to windsurf from sunrise in support off David Tuttlebee and Cancer Research. Many thanks to Steve and Dave of The Watersports Academy for the most anticipated bacon sandwich and burger ever at our breakfast and lunch breaks. Thank you very much to everyone who showed there support by donating. There is still time to do so if you haven't donated yet. Sweet dreams all, I am broken, but happy.

David, came up with the whole idea after a battle with cancer, to give something back. Unknown to him at the time, his cancer returned, yet he is still planning to take part with the help of another survivor and windsurfing legend, Dave White.

This weekend marks the start of National Windsurfing Week and kicks off with a Sunrise to Sunset event on Sunday 3rd May in aid of W4CR (Windsurf for Cancer Research).

ne of the Windsurf 4 Cancer Research fundraising events is a event called Sunrise to Sunset, people have been getting sponsored to Windsurf all day (doesn't sound to bad to me), but don't worry that maybe you haven't heard of this event of been sponsored as FCWatersports and The Watersports Academy are organising a day of fun windsurf that they would like you all to come and join in with.Timetable, please come along and join in when you can 5.30 Sunrise (be on the water if you can!!) 8.30 Bacon Sandwich (free to anyone who have been on the water from 5.30)
10.30 Join the Team 15 crew for the 1st fun race of the day 13.00 2nd Fun race (where we hope to get a photo of as many sailors on the water as possible) 14.00 BBQ - Donations for the food 15.30 3rd Fun race
After this feel free to stay on the water till sunset or relax and have a few beers BYO
