Story
Ashgate Hospice is an independent registered charity covering North Derbyshire, providing specialist palliative care to terminally ill adults and their families. Care is provided in the wards, day centre, out patient suite, and at home. All services are provided free of charge, but their important work is only possible if more than £2 million is raised each year from voluntary giving. They need our help now because, one day, our loved ones may need theirs.
Philippa Kyle, my first wife, was cared for at Ashgate Hospice before she died there on 20 November 2009, after being ill for just seven weeks. Although she was there for less than twelve hours, the care she received from wonderful staff, in a tranquil atmosphere, enabled Fi's last hours to be dignified and peaceful.
If you'd like to remember Fi by supporting the work of Ashgate Hospice, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

P.S. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they promise to never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
