Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brain Tumour UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
In November 2007, a friend and fellow fencer - Kevin Griffiths - whom I'd known for many years, lost his battle against a brain tumour and sadly died. He was just 41 years old. I am running in the Henley half marathon on 11 October 2009 and would appreciate any donations towards my chosen charity, Brain Tumour UK.
Post-run report:
This was my third half marathon and I was pleased to finish in a personal best time of 2hrs 19, almost 5 minutes faster than the last time!
Thanks to all of you who've sponsored me. Donations are still coming in but so far I'm pleased with the sum raised so far for my first sponsored run.
I am planning to do another sponsored half marathon in around March 2010, this time for a leukemia charity (in memory of another fencer and a close school friend of my brother who died from leukemia at the age of just 12) so I hope you will be able to sponsor me for that in due course. I will let you know when the new web page is set up on Justgiving.
