Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Hospice care eases the physical and emotional pain of death and dying. Letting people focus on living, right until the end. But too many people miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, for now and forever.

Story

The UK’s local hospice movement touches the lives of an estimated 1 million people each year – patients and their loved ones, carers and volunteers. If you personally know someone who has experienced hospice care, you will know that they offer dignity, peace, calm and freedom from pain to adults and children living with a terminal illness, and their families. Please visit www.hospicerunners.org.uk  for more information.

I have been going through a fair bit of pain in connection with my training.  Nevertheless, I thought it would be a great idea to get more value for my efforts.  Firstly, my training will allow me to achieve a long-time goal of running the London Marathon.  Secondly, and more importantly, the training and ultimate run facilitates the ability to raise money for a very worthy cause -- Help the Hospices.

Without question, we are experiencing very uncertain times with respect to the current economic environment.  Even so, if you have the ability to sponsor me, and, ultimately, Help the Hospices, your generosity will be appreciated greatly -- both by me and and those that are recipients of Help the Hospices efforts.
