Patagonia to Peru · 16 February 2005

St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. We make no charge for our services, ensuring Hospice care is available to everyone. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.

Story

We've cycled 4,280 miles from the southern tip of Patagonia (Tierra del Fuego) to Lake Titicaca on the Peruvian border. Many of you will know that Andrew's (Starky's) mum sadly died of cancer whilst he was studying at the University of Durham, so we dedicated this trip to her and are raising, we hope, a lot of money for the hospice in Durham. We urge you to give as generously as you are able, both as a tribute to Ansunette Starke, and to help St Cuthbert's Hospice continue with its valuable work.

Many thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us, as St Cuthbert's Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

We very much value your support: thank you.
