Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

Ambitious about Autism is the National Charity for autistic children and young people championing their rights and creating opportunities. They stand with autistic children and young people by providing services, raising awareness, understanding and by campaigning for change.

Story

I'm taking part in this years Royal Parks half marathon in order to raise both funds and awareness for the fantastic charity TreeHouse. These people help thousands of children, like my nephew Archie along with their families deal with the condition of autism.

TreeHouse help children reach their true potential with support and guidance; they transform lives for both the children and their families with their expertise and experience.

To help TreeHouse I'm dusting off my old trainers and preparing to give my body the shock of its life by attempting to run a half marathon! Please do not expect a miracle course time as my training schedule has not exactly been regimented. However, I do intend to run the full thirteen miles, somehow!

So please dig deep and give generously, its not painful at all and very simple to do; the only pain will be me crossing the finishing line!
