We fund research, awareness and support to save men's lives from male cancer

Story

Last year was the first Pigeon Watch Charity Shoot, which was held to establish whether those from the North or the South make the better shooters. 74 members combined to smash 4453 clays out of a possible 7400, with the North emerging victorious by a margin of 104 clays!

This year it's a re-match, with the South keen to regain some of their honour, whilst the North are confident after their convincing victory last year. The event will be held at Sporting Targets at Riseley, on the 7th May, 2011 - for more details and to register click here - Pigeon Watch Charity Shoot Homepage

This year we are raising funds for Orchid Cancer - a male cancer charity, which is an area that is often overlooked. They do a fantastic job and save lives through pioneering research and promoting awareness of testicular, prostate and penile cancers

What members are saying about the day-

The North

In response to the question why they were twice as many Southerners to Northerners signed up, Timps retorted:

"That's because we are twice as good as the southerners."

Allegations were made that "Every hour Sporting Targets are open they will be rammed out with Suvverners desperately practicing for the 7th in a futile attempt to avoid a consecutive, humiliating whooping"

Mr Potter: "Well practice as much as you like, fill your boots, twice a week from now till May it won't make a blind bit of difference as class will out".

The South

MC challenged some of the early confidence the North was showing: "As ST is so easy I will expect to see a 100 straight from you"

Whilst ME was altogether more optimistic about the Southerners' chances, when he heard a top shooter from the North couldn't make it, he remarked: "As you arent coming to the shoot, it would be nice if you could still be involved in some way. I suggest that you and Chard have a night in together polishing OUR trophy."
