Story

For the past couple of years Ive given up things for Lent and found it quite easy to do mainly because I was choosing things I really knew I wouldn't miss that much. This year I've decided to do something which is going to be much harder for me.

I'm not afraid to say Im a bit of a chocoholic. I'm not really into sweets but love chocolate - chocolate, chocolate biscuits, chocolate cake - you get the picture :) My other weakness is cola. I don't drink tea or coffee so it's my only really source of caffeine. I did try giving it up last year but just found myself swapping to other fizzy drinks which really defeated the object of the task.

So for 2012 for 40 days and 40 nights from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday I will be having a chocolate and fizzy soft drink free diet. I know it's going to be tough and this is why I need the inspiration that I'm doing it for a good cause as well as benefitting my own health.

To help me focus on my target please make a donation to Oldies Club via this page and in return, you will gain the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing that you have contributed towards helping the wonderful dogs in Oldies Club care :-)

We currently have just under 50 dogs in our care and nearly 20 of those are long term foster dogs which means our vet bills are huge!!

Please consider making a donation today - every penny will be VERY gratefully received and really will make a difference to the oldies! Thank you so much. Feel free to share the link to this page on your facebook page, twitter account etc.
