We are radically advancing research to achieve a life free from epilepsy

Story

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this web page and kindly donating to epilepsy research. As you are aware, I am running the Great Manchester Run and raising money for Epilepsy Research. The reason I have chosen this charity is, as i'm sure you know, my son Joseph has a rare genetic disorder known as Miller diekers Syndrome which is a type of lissencephaly. This means that Joseph has a smooth brain and has other associated problems. These include development delays, feeding difficulties, hypotonia and seizures.

As you can image seeing you child have a seizure is not pleasent and very upsetting. We as a family and Joseph inparticular has been very lucky as his seizure are well controlled due to the number of medications he is on. Therefore I felt epilepsy research would be a very relevant charity to fundraise for so come on dig deep and get sponsoring me

Thanks for looking xx
