On Sunday 3rd July, thirty NHS staff from Public Health and Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) are joining together for the first time to help raise awareness of the benefits of cycling. Each person will attempt to cycle 60 miles from London to Oxford on a charity cycle ride.
The event is being organised by healthcare professionals specialising in Public Health and Sports and Exercise Medicine in Oxfordshire. The aim is to promote cycling for all and to build stronger relationships between the two specialties and between colleagues from different regions. Money raised by the event is being given to Sustrans, a charity devoting to enabling healthier, cheaper, cleaner forms of travel and to CLIC-Sargent, a charity supporting children with cancer and their families.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate -we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
