We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

Lucy Komaromy, Katy Young, Helen Samuel, Alex Morgan, Jennifer George, Clare Pitt, Will Langton and Liz Wood will be running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd March in aid of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

We will be doing this in memory of our friend Richard Moody who suffered from type 1 diabetes and sadly passed away this New Year. Mods was a true gentleman, a talented athlete and great friend and all those who knew him will miss him immensely.

Money raised from this 13.2 mile run will go towards the JDRF. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. For more information on where your donations will go and the valuable work of JDRF please visit the website: www.jdrf.org.uk.

Thank you for your support - any donations big or small are welcome.

Lucy, Katy, Helen, Alex, Jen, Clare, Will and Liz.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
