Hi

I'm writing to ask for your help as I have joined the committee for the Retail Therapy Walk for Research for Myeloma which is a sponsored walk taking place on Sunday 13th June.  Myeloma is bone marrow cancer.  This cancer is treatable, BUT NOT CURABLE. 

 

About the Walk

• When Sunday 13 June
• Time 11:30am for a 12 noon start
• Meeting point Berkeley Square Gardens, off Piccadilly
• Route Two or five miles through some of London’s most famous shopping streets. You will pass stores such as Fortnum & Mason, the designer shops and jewellers of New Bond Street, the boutiques of Marylebone High Street and other favourites on Oxford Street
• Getting there Free on-street parking is available around Berkeley Square and there is an NCP Car Park on Grosvenor Hill. Nearest tube is Green Park or you can take the following bus routes: C2, 9, 14, 19, 22, and 38
• What you get A Myeloma UK t-shirt and goody bag with snacks, discount vouchers and offers for shops and quiz to complete en route. Special goody bags and kids quiz for younger walkers
• Who will be there? Myeloma UK celebrity patron Maureen Lipman and our celebrity ambassador Dom Wood (from BBC's Dick and Dom in da Bungalow) will be there to meet you and send you off on the walk
• I really need your help in any one of the following ways whether it is to donate your time or money, or both - but I'm running out of time so please help me as soon as you've read this email:

Firstly I am looking for donations!

You can donate through JustGiving.  Donating through JustGiving.com is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Other ways to donate are through sponsorship and advertising in the retail Therapy Walk Brochure which will be distributed to all of the people taking part in the walk.

If you have a business, particularly a retail business this is a great way to advertise. To "Bag a Square" where your name will feature on the front cover of the brochure on a shopping bag is only £150.00 and you will receive a full page advert inside the brochure.

All other advertising is as follows:

£10 - to list your child's name on the "best wishes" page

£50 quarter page

£75 half page

£100 full page

So please dig deep and donate now.  Call me to set up your page for the brochure as the deadline is 17th May.
