Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have taken on the challenge of swimming the English Channel in my local pool in memory of my daughter Phoebe Amelia Balster born sleeping on the 6th June 2010. We lost Phoebe whilst I was in labour at 40 weeks and 13 days.

All money raised will be donated to SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity).

In order to swim the 30 miles required I will have to swim the equivalent of 1,920 lengths of the 25m swimming pool at Brockworth Sports Centre, Gloucester.

I started my challenge on the 12th September 2010 and to date (16th October 2010) I have swam 30 miles (1920 lengths). I anticipate that I will be able to complete this challenge by the 17th October 2010.

17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day in the UK.
