This may come to some of you who know me as an impossible challenge, but I will do it… I will cross the finish line along side my Mam who is edging towards 52! (sorry Mam) This is a massive challenge for both of us but it means the world to us to help fund research to give so many people the longer life they deserve, especially our little superstar Libby Fae.

Since our daughter was diagnosed at 2 ½ weeks with a life threatening disease Cystic Fibrosis we have strived to raise as much money as possible for the fantastic charity which cover all aspects of the disease whilst giving constant support to all people affected by CF.

At the moment there is no cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds research to find an effective treatment for CF and believe it is going to be the nearest thing to a cure in the forseeable future.

Cystic Fibrosis affects many areas of the body and internal organs, especially the lungs, liver and pancreas by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food. This is managed by a lifetime of constant drugs and routine physio.

Each week, five babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis but sadly each week, three young lives are lost to the disease.

Through research, better understanding and treatment of Cystic Fibrosis, life expectancy is increasing. When the CF Trust was founded in 1964, a child was lucky to live over five years but now around half of the CF population can expect to live to 38 years… however you cannot predict the severity of the condition therefore how long a CF sufferer will live.

So… we need your help. We want our little angel to be with us and live as long and happy normal life as possible. I know times are hard and you have probably sponsored a number of people for different fundraising events which will be just as an important cause as ours but even if all the people who I send this to gave £1.00 (We will appreciate this just as much as £10) it would be a substantial help towards my target for the Trust.
