NASS is only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people with axial spondyloarthritis (AS), a painful, progressive rheumatic disease which mainly affects the spine. An estimated 200,000 people live with AS in the UK. Our 90+ branches across the UK offer regular exercise to anyone with AS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my last planned ultra run of the year and my wife, Hannah, allowed me to do it on the condition that I raised at least £500 for the National Ankylosing Spondilitis Society (NASS). So far this year, my friends have helped me raise over £1000 for NASS.

The event itself is approximately 100km (62.1 miles) in length.  It's a run and it's a run through the Lake District, which means it's not flat. For more information about the event itself click on this link http://www.ultimatetrails.com/.

Why NASS? NAS helps sufferers of AS understand the disease and also understand ways to manage it. I have to add that running 100km isn't playing by the rules!
