So we did it, after a few months training and spending a fortune on bike stuff, on Saturday 6th June, we cycled up the Champs Elysees, around the Arc de Triomphe and arrived at our finish line, the Eiffel Tower having started in London 3 days and 320 miles before. This was a fantastic experience and something that none of us will ever forget.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind donations so far. I took on this challenge in memory of my Dad who passed away in November last year. He was always ready to help people and had some fantastic stories along the way...he lived on three continents in his life, travelled the world and made friends everywhere he went so I figured I should try to try to do something interesting as well! I'm hoping this will be the first of many, I am already trying to think of what the next challenge will be!
For anyone that would still like to donate, it's not too late. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me.St George'sHospitalCharity gets your money faster and, if you're a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks again for all of your support and for your generous donations. All funds are going toward the Neursurgery Equipment Fund at St Georges Hospital in South West London. Dad spent a week there before he passed away and the staff there were fantastic with him and our family so I can say with confidence that it really is a fantastic cause.
