Thanks for visiting our fundraising page...
Sharon, Claire & Toni (Mum and Daughters) HAVE COMPLETED the York run on Sunday 21st June for Crohn's Disease, dressing in our swanky red tops for the event (Pictured above after the run - still smiling - although alittle sweaty!)
It was a fantastic day with thousands of people turning up to take part (even dogs were dressed in the NACC tshirts!) We finished in around 50th which is fantastic and in after 1 and half hours...
We obviously want to keep raising as much money as possible - but we cant do it without you!!
This page will be kept ongoing as were hoping to complete the run again next year, in better time.... so please give what you can, everyone knows someone with IBS and this is the next stage on, but its unheard of!
Claire has severely suffered with Crohns Disease since being diagnosed a few years ago and understands how important this is, to help raise vital money for research, drugs and awareness.
It can be a difficult disease to live with, and embarrassing as people's knowledge is little or non existent. It can cause symptoms such as extreme abdominal pain, extreme weight loss/gain, and tiredness, making working very difficult. Despite this I run a full time business which I love and also write in various medical publications to try and raise the awareness of this condition.
Although Crohns Disease is still fairly unheard of, it’s a serious disability affecting families across the world, including children as young as 10 years old. Over 60,000 people in the UK alone suffer from this disease, which vital research and awareness is needed as at this time there is no cure for suffers
We have already raised over £600 with our 'paper sponsorships' and if you would like to donate this way instead of online, please just contact us
Please help us to raise awareness and as much money as possible!!!
We NEED YOUR HELP so please get Giving Now!
Love, Sharon, Claire & Toni xxxx
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease - NACC gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donations.
