Story
Three days after having done an Ace Race, which was five hours of cycling and running, I’m still aching! I never knew exercise could be so painful. Yet against all my better judgments, I will be putting myself through the pain again, however this time it will be for charity.
Here's a little about what we are doing.
‘The London Rat Race is a roller coaster ride through the coolest city on the planet, turning London into one giant playground. This event is a sporting feast that seeks to cram in activities and challenges, ranging from the overtly adventurous to the downright surreal; from an epic free-hanging abseil off the stands of Twickenham Stadium to a tasty treat of jellied eels at Tubby Isaac’s gaff off
Petticoat Lane . Last year’s event wound its way through London old and new, seeking out checkpoint locations in some of the best known places in and way way off the beaten track. In 2008 the adventure returns with more bite than ever!’Duration: 3 hours Saturday. 6 hours Sunday. Disciplines: Running/walking, Biking, Kayaking, Rope-related pursuits,Parkour, Orienteering, Secret sections
Length of Course: Saturday 15km, Sunday 80km, most of which is on bikes.
